Popular laptop and PC maker Lenovo today (September 1) launched a new Chrome OS laptop called Lenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebook in the global market. The large notebook is powered by Google's software, which offers almost everything you need in a device. The IdeaPad 5i Chromebook is available in two variants, the base model with the Intel Pentium 8505 processor and the high-end variant with the 12th generation Intel Core i3-1215U processor. It also has an LCD display, up to 8GB of RAM, and a 1,080-pixel webcam.

The price of Lenovo Ideapad 5i Chromebook in the European market starts from 549 Euros (about Rs. 43,500). The laptop will be available for sale in the month of September itself. The Ideapad 5i Chromebook will be available only in Storm Gray color option.
Lenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebook Specifications
The Lenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebook comes in two display variants. However, both models have a 16-inch screen, 16:10 aspect ratio and LCD panel. The display of the cheaper version supports Full HD+ resolution, 300 nits peak brightness, 45% NTSC color gamut and 60 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the top-end variant has 2.5K resolution, 350nits brightness, 100% sRGB color gamut and 120Hz refresh rate.
As for performance, the base model of the Lenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebook is powered by an Intel Pentium 8505 processor, while the higher-end version has a 12th generation Intel Core i3-1215U processor. This laptop will get 4GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM. Besides, the device comes in four memory options. The eMMC version comes with 64GB or 128GB of storage, while the SSD variant comes with 256GB or 512GB of storage. This Lenovo laptop includes a 180-degree hinge and a 1,080-pixel webcam. In terms of audio, the IdeaPad 5i Chromebook offers 2 x 2W stereo speakers with MaxxAudio support.
Besides, the connectivity options of the new Lenovo notebook include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Again, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebook features a combo audio jack, a microSD card slot and a Kensington Nano security slot. In terms of power backup, this laptop can provide 12 hours of battery life. Finally, the IdeaPad 5i Chromebook weighs just 1.86 kg.
