To realize the dream of Digital India, the Narendra Modi-led central government last year entrusted state-owned BSNL with the task of expanding 4G network to 7,287 villages in 44 potential districts of the country. In that case, the project is considered important for both the government and the concerned telco. The Central Cabinet has allocated Tk 26,316 crore for the implementation of the previously announced project, reaching the final stage of the 5G auction. BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) will use this money allocated by the Center to bring the marginal and isolated areas under the umbrella of 4G services across the country.
BSNL, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Center for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) will use fully indigenous technology-based 4G services to bring remote and isolated parts of the country under advanced network system. has come to all. In that case, the telco chosen by the center can use the USOF (Universal Service Obligation Fund) money.
If BSNL is able to bring 4G services to more than 7,000 villages as per this scheme announced by the government, the people living in those areas will also benefit from improved network and connectivity. This will enable them to perform tasks that a city dweller can do. But for that BSNL network quality should be good.
Apart from allocating funds for the discussed projects, on the second day of the auction, the government announced a new ``revival package'' of Rs. Earlier in 2019, the Center announced such a package for the organization. However, it did not solve the crisis of the organization. However, it has been claimed by the country's telecom ministry that BSNL will emerge as a profitable company very quickly by utilizing this financial assistance.
It may be noted that the Center has also given its seal to the merger of BSNL and BBNL (Bharat Broadband Nigam Limited) on this day.
